Ways to Celebrate Veterans Day
November 11, 2021Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th and coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other countries that mark the end of World War I. On this day, we honor all the men and women who have served in the armed forces. This day not only honors our current service members but also celebrates those brave individuals who have served before us. It's essential to take time out of your day to say "thank you" for their dedication to the United States.
Ways to celebrate Veterans Day
Show appreciation for the members of our military, past, and present.
Show Up
Celebrations and parades are going on all over the United States on this day and over the weekend. Please get out and show your support and appreciation for what they have done for us as humans and a country.
Â
Donate
Many organizations offer support, services, and appreciation for our service members. If you can donate, visit this page to find an organization you would like to donate to. Every dollar counts to continue supporting our Veterans.
Â
Pen Pals
If you know a veteran, write a simple postcard or e-card that recognizes them on Veterans Day. If you don't know a veteran, look up the closest military installation and send letters there. Small acts of recognizing someone's service, even anonymously, are appreciated.
Â
Visit a Veteran
Many VA facilities have events on Veterans Day or a special lunch you can help prepare. Even if you don't interact with the veterans, giving a helping hand can also go a long way.
Â
Spend Time with Your Veteran
If you have a veteran in your life or family, get outside and enjoy the day with them. Being outdoors has been proved to help improve physical and mental health, boost emotional well-being, and is a great way to celebrate the day with a veteran.
On behalf of all of us here at Vital Pet Life, we would like to thank all of our Veterans, current, and past. We appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for us.
